TeamFill at SmartHR HR Week 2025: What We Learned in Riga and Vilnius

On 24 November in Riga and 26 November in Vilnius, TeamFill joined SmartHR HR Week 2025 at the HR TECH 2025 conferences in Latvia and Lithuania. A sincere thank you to the SmartHR/Latvija team for a well-run, insight-rich program - and to everyone who took time to stop by, ask thoughtful questions, and share honest feedback.

What we heard in both Latvia and Lithuania


Across both events, the conversations felt refreshingly practical. Instead of “AI for the sake of AI,” HR leaders and recruiters kept returning to the real work of hiring: aligning teams, reducing repetition, and making decisions that are both faster and easier to justify. A common theme was the pressure created by first-round screens - too many calls, too much scheduling, and too many versions of “notes” that can’t be compared fairly. Many attendees were curious about how asynchronous interviews can reduce repetitive screening while still keeping the process human, and how AI Notetaker can help teams get fast transcription of live and async videos.

Workshop moment: live interview on the spot

One of the most valuable moments came when a workshop participant joined a live interview session on the spot, turning theory into a real experience immediately. We’re grateful for the well-prepared questions and direct feedback that followed. Our Co-founders Paulius Rimavicius and Antanas Giraitis captured key notes and follow-ups to take back into our work.

What we heard repeatedly in both Latvia and Lithuania was clear: the market is ready for innovation that removes friction, not adds new complexity. Teams want hiring workflows that create consistency across interviewers, reduce manual admin after interviews, and make it easier to share and review candidate information - through clearer summaries, stronger documentation, and quicker access to the moments that matter. The goal is simple: help recruiters and hiring managers spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time on confident decisions.


What's next?

SmartHR HR Week 2025 left us with a strong sense of direction - progress through continuous improvement - and the motivation to keep building hiring experiences that are structured, fair, and practical for real teams. Our new improvements, a smoother interview process, and transcription in multiple languages are on the way in the new year.
